Nice people and wait staff, however we ordered the halibut and chicken fried steak... The portion of halibut was small and tasted like it was from a freezer and then deep fried. The chicken fried steak, probably the same, but the gravy was decent. Prices for the three of us to eat was ridiculous! $ 61.00 I can go to Anchorage and eat good food for that price. Home cooking does not come from a freezer and go to a fryer.

This place got a ton of good reviews. I'm not sure how. Super long wait when there were only a few people there. Sourdough pancakes (which I was so looking forward to) were uncooked in the entire center portion, Liquid goo. Reindeer sausage...1/2 a very small tough piece. That was $15. A piece of toast (1) was $2.50. Had to ask for coffee refills even though it was clear they were empty. Not sure what happened between my visit and others ...

Awesome people, great food, reasonable prices and happy uplifting atmosphere. I love this cute little place and I will definitely be going here more. The food is hot and fresh (Never cold), the coffee taste better than most places, the service is awesome and the staff are friendly. I will happily give Abby's Home Cooking a 5 star rating.

Several changes to menu choices since the restaurant reopened. Some Ingredients deleted. The establishment has lost the personal local fingerprint. Menu has obviously taken names of people off signature items. Most noticeable is all the staff which gave it a "home" feel are gone. Server on the cell phone. The cook was in shorts. We knew nobody. The new staff is nowhere near as personal or professional. Sad, we loved this place. It stood apart. A throwback to the old days. No longer.

Good food great staff. But the table are set a little too close for my comfort. Very famous restaurants, a must go while in Seattle. Lots of home-cooked style food
